Helicosign Dry is an in vitro diagnostic kit that checks the infection of H. pylori by measuring the presence of urease secreted by H. pylori using gastric mucosal tissue. The reagent contains urea, which is the substrate of urease secreted by H. pylori, and phenolred. When urea is decomposed by Urease, ammonium ions are produced and the pH increases. At this time, the pH indicator changes from yellow to purple, and the result is judged.
